Uganda is a beautiful and growing country, it is no wonder that many foreigners are looking to Uganda to purchase property for both leisure and investment. It is possible for a non-Ugandan to purchase property in Uganda.
A foreign individual can easily purchase property in Uganda, although not freehold. You will be purchasing the property on a leasehold basis for either 49 or 99 years.
A company can also purchase land within Uganda. Just as with personal ownership, a foreign company can own any property within Uganda under a 49 or 99 year lease. 100% freehold ownership is possible with a corporation if the company is at least 51% owned by a Ugandan national.
